Prapanna has been an active member of the Sri Aurobindo Community since 1987, and is a former resident and founding member of Sri Aurobindo Sadhana Peetham (1992-1995).  Since 1995 Prapanna has been working as a teacher with at-risk middle school (7th and 8th grade) children in San Bernardino, California.  In  December of 1997, he completed his Masters Degree in Education Administration at the University of Redlands.  He is currently working with an outstanding team of individuals comprised, in part, of former students of SAICE to create the first Integral School in the United States, a "Center for Integral Education", founded upon the principles of education as given to us by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. 

For AUM 1998, plans are underway to bring together esteemed educators from the USA and India to participate in an education forum where we will consider the role of education in the manifestation of the Divine Consciousness on Earth. The forum will be structured to encourage the participation of attendees in addition to that of the forum panelists.  Additionally, during another session, the Board of Trustees of the new "Center for Integral Education" will share their vision for an Integral School in the United States and present to members of the Sri Aurobindo Communty the opportunity of help make that vision a reality.  Anyone sharing a deep interest in education will want to attend these sessions.
