AUM Presenter:
Don Salmon
 virtreal@erols.com

Since the 1997 AUM in New York, Don has been an active and significant presence on the Internet discussions related to Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. He is the main presence behind the psych forum, and has contributed several articles to Collaboration. A prolific writer and thinker, he brings a forward-thinking, progressive, and universal approach to both the Yoga and to psychology.

Don writes:

"My name is Don Salmon.  I first became aware I was a child of the Mother  back in 1975.  I have also studied with teachers from several traditions, including Vedanta, Tibetan Buddhism and Sufism.  Most of my adult life, I worked as a composer/pianist/teacher, but my life dream has always been to work toward an integration of psychology and spirituality.  Toward that end, I began graduate study in psychology in 1990, completing a Masters and now, finally, have almost completed the Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology.  I am interested in making a connection between the world of modern psychology and psychotherapy and Sri Aurobindo's Integral Psychology.  I live in NYC's East Village, and at the moment, one of my great delights is making a special concoction of pomegranite seeds, yogurt and cinnamon."
