Lynda Lester

Lynda Lester started Integral Yoga in 1974 and visited the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville that same year. She lived for six years in an Integral Yoga gypsy caravan that traveled around the western U.S., following which she lived for a time at Matagiri in New York and at Sri Aurobindo's Action Center in Colorado. For most of the 1980s she studied with a French disciple of the yoga.

Lynda was an organizer of AUM 1988, has served on the board of Auroville International USA, and is a vice president of the Sri Aurobindo Association. In 1994-95 she edited Nexus, an Integral Yoga journal, and in 1995 took over editorship of the Integral Yoga journal Collaboration, which she now produces and co-edits with David Hutchinson. She is also a moderator of the Integral Yoga discussion list (http://iy.collaboration.org).

Lynda is currently a technical writer/editor and web usability specialist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
