Retreat Notes:

Professor Mangesh Nadkarni gave a talk at the Auromere book showroom on May 8, 1999, on the topic of World Union.

Prof. Nadkarni has an MA in English literature from Poona and his doctorate in Linguistics from the University of California at Los Angeles and taught linguistics for 12 years in Hyderabad and 8 years in Singapore. He has specialized in the study of Sri Aurobindo's writings.

Prof. Nadkarni has given a number of workshops at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India, and has led retreat camps and lectured extensively abroad. He has contributed a number of papers on Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and vision in journals devoted to this discipline and is author of the following monographs:
